East Timor

East Timor/East Timor is one of the most recently formed states, having gained independence from Indonesia (which maintains more than half of the island's total territory) in 2002, after many years of armed conflict. Timor is part of the archipelago of the Small Probe Islands, is located about 600 km from the Australian coast, the territory is mainly mountainous.
