Eswatini is a small state located in the north-east of South Africa and without any outlet to the sea; it is among the few in Africa to have a homogeneous ethnic composition, with Swazis representing 90% of the population. The territory is mountainous to the west, becomes flat in the central-eastern part; about 2/3 of the workforce is engaged in agriculture, but most of the gross domestic product comes from industry, in particular from the exploitation of mineral resources.
