History of Yahoo

Yahoo! was born in 1994 from the idea of two students of Stanford University, David Filo and Jerry Yang. The two students wanted to create a repository to easily find links on the Internet about their personal interests. David and Jerry's portal has been very successful even among their university friends so they create a navigation guide "Jerry and David's Guide to the World Wild Web". In addition to spreading to Stanford Yahoo!, it also spreads to the entire Internet community, so much so that in the fall of 1994 it reached one million contacts a day.
